Jeremy Peck, a 6’9” Center for St. Thomas, after an AAU game.
Every team has their way of preparing for their own upcoming season. One of the ways that members of the St. Thomas basketball team are preparing for the season is by playing AAU basketball. AAU basketball is simply offseason basketball where kids play on select teams and play games in Houston or travel to places such as Las Vegas. AAU basketball provides players the ability to come back to their high schools better than they were the year before.
Jeremy Peck, class of 2016, said, “I think AAU will help for this upcoming season.”
AAU also gives players a higher chance of being recruited by college basketball coaches.
