Ahh summer vacations: your break from essays, projects, drama, and everything else school related. One place that most people hope to run away to is the Big Apple: New York. Westbury Christian senior Evan Ledet shares his experience.
Q: What was the best part of going to New York?
A: "Visiting the theaters on Broadway and seeing the stores and shops littered around Time Square is the best part. You can see the various cultures in the area from the people, the vendors, and the numerous stores", says Ledet.
Q: Great, but what about Houston? Does it even compare?
A: "It's different from Houston in that New Yorkers seem to be more direct and quite opposed to Houston's 'southern hospitality' of talking to everyone," Ledet says.
Yay score for Houston! New York is no doubt a special place in which the people never sleep and dreams magically come true, and we hope that coming back to Houston isn't depressing. There is lots to do here too, like the rodeo and the pleasure pier in Galveston and well, school! Returning to that wonderful routine of school can be a drag but hopefully this year will be a fantastic year!
