Lamar High School grads Melissa Sawyer and Blane Pless tied the knot exactly one year after getting engaged, at West University Methodist Church, followed by a night of dinner and dancing at The Parador. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Kathryn Sawyer, and bridesmaids were Allison Assel, Lauren Assel, Autumn Caldwell, Jessica Caldwell, Julia Domning, Nora Reardon and Brooke Thompson. The groom’s best man was Sonny Reil, and groomsmen were Eric Cummings, Ethan Fitzgerald, Wylder Green, Raymond Loving and Max Vaclavik. Ushers were Garrin Raymond and Dustin Teague. The bride’s parents, Carol and Chuck Sawyer, and groom’s parents, Rayland Pless and Michelle Wildman, had a ball watching their children marry. The couple ventured to the beautiful Bora Bora for a honeymoon in paradise.
