Buzz cover models wed

This summer, two former Buzz cover models, Kasey McCaleb Kelso (featured on the November 2009 Bellaire Buzz cover for a story about baking on “Pie Day” before Thanksgiving) and Joel Phipps (featured on the June 2011 Memorial Buzz cover for a story about father-son bonding) married in Crested Butte, Colorado. Family members, including Kasey’s mom, Patricia McCaleb, and Joel’s parents, Joe Dean and Sue Phipps, witnessed the wedding with a backdrop of mountains. The bride and groom’s families, including Kasey’s children, Jackson and Sydney Kelso, and Joel’s kids, Jackson and Margaret Phipps, arrived earlier in the week to enjoy a slew of activities including horseback riding, whitewater rafting and hiking. After a few weeks’ break from adventure, Kasey and Joel headed for their two-week honeymoon in Italy, with stops in Cinque Terre, Florence and Tuscany. (Photo: Lauren Brimhall Photography)
