Bedhead reunion
Class reunions don’t have to begin after high school. Memorial Drive Elementary recently hosted its second annual Bed-Head Reunion for the already graduated class of 2012. More than half of the class, who will graduate high school in 2020, met at Sky High Sports for a dodgeball tournament. The first annual event, a kickball game, was called Bed Head Ball because the game was held early in the morning, and the kids were told that “crazy hair and fresh breath” were encouraged; a prize was given for the best “bed-head” hair. The goal is for these friends to get together each year until they graduate high school. The majority of the now-seventh graders attend Spring Branch Middle School; some attend other schools such as Duchesne Academy, The Kinkaid School, Cornerstone Academy and Westchester Academy. Pictured is the winning team (from left, back row), Ariela Romero, Daniela Perez, (front row) Mason Flinn, Jack Flower, Audrey Birdwell, Lily Williams, Jake McNair, Christian Corzo and Kyle Dietert.
