Who knew the variety of designs that one can create with canned goods? The 18th annual Canstruction competition was held at City Centre to gather food for the Houston Food Bank. Massive designs made entirely out of cans of food included a locomotive, a rocket and an iguana. Don’t miss it next year! With over 100,000 cans donated, the food bank will distribute 18,000 boxes of food this month. Co-chair Carla Curtin noted that 39 teams (11 were high school teams) competed with clever sculptures. Brian Green was one of the six judges.
