This fall, about 40 friends, led by Courtney Eidman, began what they hope to be an annual tradition of participating in the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure. The girls and women, ranging in age from 8 to 70, along with Courtney’s brother Greg Eidman, walked in honor of their beloved late mother, Georgeann Eidman. Her lifelong motto and favorite saying was, “Don’t you worry.” Georgeann would say these words all the time to family and even strangers to put them at ease. The team sported their logo, “#dontyouworry,” on hats and T-shirts and raised nearly $5,000 for Susan G. Komen. They celebrated Georgeann’s legacy by sharing memories of times with her along the route. At a pink-themed reception following the celebration, they also honored breast cancer survivors Vesta Eidman and Nadine Eidman. Pictured (from left) are 9-year-old friends Hollings Croswell, Georgeann’s granddaughter Emma Eidman, Callie O’Neil and Daisy Hall.
