Buzzing about Biggio

We’re so proud and excited that Craig Biggio was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame this week. He’s the first Houston Astro to be elected, and all of this is cause for celebration! Tonight, head over to Minute Maid by 5 p.m. to commemorate Biggio’s Hall of Fame career, watch footage from some of his iconic games, and receive a raffle for a chance to win Biggio autographed items. Friday night flicks

Grab a blanket, relax and watch the classic Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory at Discovery Green tonight starting at 7:30. See the details.

Challenge: Wining, dining and truffles

On Monday evening, 6:30-9:30 p.m., the Houston Truffle Chef of the Year Challenge will take place at National Tree & Shrub. Each chef will offer a competing dish for guests to taste and there’ll be a variety of wine sponsors offering wine tastings. Plan to get your spot now so you can wine and dine this Monday night.

Winter weather

It’s cold, especially for Houston winter. Embrace the wintry weather by taking advantage of The ICE at Discovery Green before it disappears Feb. 8.
