Event Roundup: What to look forward to this weekend

Happy Friday! It seems like there are a ton of fun-filled, buzzworthy events going on this weekend benefiting great causes. Check it out:  

Tonight is Hermann Park’s Evening in the Park Gala, the Conservancy’s largest fundraiser. Guests will enjoy strolling through the gardens, al fresco dining and dancing under the stars. See the details. 

The Houston Zoo will be the background for the Walk With Me 5K and family fun walk on Saturday morning to help raise awareness and resources for Easter Seals’ programs. This nonprofit helps children and adults living with disabilities. See the details. 

Saturday afternoon, Bayou Buddies will host their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Bayou Bash, which includes crawfish, live entertainment, a silent auction, lawn games, kayak demos and more. See the details.  

Get a taste of Las Vegas in Houston this Saturday night. Congregation Beth Yeshurun will offer craps, roulette, black jack, high-stakes poker, slot machines and a live auction with incredible prizes. Diamonds, Denim and Dice is the largest fundraiser of the year for Congregation Beth Yeshurun and it’s open to the public. See the details.   

The 7th Annual Wine and Tapas Gala will be held in the Great Lawn at Bellaire Town Square on Saturday evening. Enjoy wine, tapas, live music, and dancing with family, friends and neighbors. Proceeds will benefit Evergreen Park. See the details. 

On Sunday evening, put on your superhero cape and head to Tony’s for the 33rd Annual ESCAPE Celebrity Serve Benefit dinner and auction. This popular fundraiser features national and local celebrities and a night of wining and dining to raise funds to help prevent child abuse and neglect. Theme: superheroes. See the details.
