Bellaire New Home Showcase

The 27th annual Bellaire New Home Showcase continues this weekend for the last part of this year’s showcase. The $10 admission benefits Evelyn’s Park Conservancy.

Walk for a Cause

Impact a Hero 5K takes place Saturday morning. Run, walk or wheel to support wounded heroes. See the details.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer: This non-competitive 5K walk supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to end breast cancer. See the details.

Coping with Loss

This Saturday and Sunday, Tomfoolery is teaming up with Houston nonprofit Bo’s place to compete in the GelGems for a Cause Retail Window Contest 2015. Check out Tomfoolery’s window décor, representing Bo’s Place, plus shop for a great cause. See the details.

In addition, on Saturday afternoon, local child author Zoey Hess will be signing her new book on copying with loss, The Birthday of an Angel. Zoey is 11 years old and attends The Shlenker School. Look out for her Buzz Kidz article on her book, which will be out in our June issue. See the details.

Asiafest and Greekfest

This weekend, head to Asia Society Texas Center for AsiaFest, a free, two-day celebration including Asian and fusion food, fitness demonstrations, community performances, vendrs, and much more. See the details.
