Zoey Hess, a fifth grader at The Shlenker School, wrote a book about coping with the loss of her grandfather.
My name is Zoey Leslie Hess. I am 11 years old and in the fifth grade at The Shlenker School. I am so excited to have my book, The Birthday of an Angel, published. I believe this book can help many people, and I am so happy to share it.
While most people think of death as a loss, this book shares a different perspective. The Birthday of an Angel shows that your loved one is an angel who will always be with you. I want the readers to understand the loss of a loved one from the unique and positive perspective that I have to share. Both children and adults can easily connect with this story and use the information to develop their own coping skills.
I lost my grandpa, Papa, in March 2010, and he was extremely important in my life. I want The Birthday of an Angel to explain how you can still have connections with your loved ones when they pass away. I want to help other children and adults to find a positive way to heal and find feelings and connections they shared with their own loved ones. I also wrote this book for Papa.
It was a great way for me to share how wonderful of a man he was and to express how much he means to me. I want people to know their loved one (their angel) will always be with them. When you feel alone or sad, believe that you are still connected, and they are always in your heart.
It has been a dream come true to write this book. I want to inspire others. After writing this book, I learned that no matter how old or young you are, you can always make your dreams come true. If you’re searching for a book about the loss of a loved one, I hope that you can share mine to help someone special to you. In the future, I am not sure what I want to be, but what I do know is that I want to do something that would help people and make them happier. You can find my book at local bookstores or theBirthdayofanAngel.com.
