August begins this weekend, but that doesn’t mean summer fun is over. Here are a few events going on this weekend.

Houston Restaurant Weeks

Aug. 1 is the start of Houston Restaurant Weeks, which runs through Sept. 7. Diners can choose from two- to three-course lunches for $20 each, three- to four-course dinners for $35 or $45 or a three-course brunch for $25. And best of all, proceeds go to the Houston Food Bank. 2015 Houston International Jazz Festival

If you love the sounds of jazz, then you don’t want to miss this three-day event celebrating the past, present and future of jazz. With a kick-off party on Friday night and live music throughout the weekend, it’s sure to be a great party. See details here.

Spend your Friday evening biking along the Buffalo Bayou while you look on as thousands of Mexican free-tail bats depart for their sunset journey. See details here.

2015 Houston Shakespeare Festival
