Bellaire Little League’s 12U baseball team (pictured) finished the season at the sectionals tournament in Huffman. After coming from behind to beat Bayside, 15-14, the boys lost the next game to Northside, 8-4. The highlight of the season was winning the District 16 Championship for the third year in a row. In that game, they needed only 3½ innings to defeat the West University National All-Stars 13-2. Tanner Fox pitched a one-hit complete game, while the team combined for three home runs. The team was undefeated in district play and gave up only six runs in four games. The district champs are (standing, from left) Katherine Kelley, Parker Smith, Jacob Roubein, Reed Bourlon, Josh Blum, Tanner Fox, Jacob Dixon, Mark Richards; (bending down, from left) Grant Stringer, Aidan Via, Peter Corbett, Brett Bazarsky and Jack Ben-Shoshan.
