Donny Zindler and Michael Caplan left the Rockets game on May 25 and drove hours from one parking lot to another to avoid the rising water of the storm. As Michael drove his Jag F-Type Coupe throughout the streets, he thought he was in The Walking Dead TV series, as people waded through water like the zombies in their own apocalypse. On Post Oak south of Woodway, the fellows saw cars on the esplanade and scattered all about. On Memorial near the Arboretum, a downed tree took over two lanes. Donny got to his home safely at 7 a.m., and Michael at 7:30 a.m. Survivors.
