More than 70 West University senior citizens, including Jackie Good, Jane Twietmeyer and Betty Miller (pictured, from left), attended the monthly luncheon at the West U Community Building. The theme was Putt’n on the Glitz, and residents sure did as they dined in style on the white and black-checkered tablecloths with black and red boas as centerpieces. The guests started off the meal with a dinner salad, followed by buttery Swiss chicken, green beans and dinner rolls. The September meal will be held on Sept. 29 at 11:30 a.m., and the theme is Mexican Fiesta. Registration is required and is available at the Community Building located at 6104 Auden St. The cost is $4 for West U residents and $5 for non-residents. For information, call 713-662-5895.
