It’s flu season right about now, and many students are already feeling the effects of various bugs going around school. The students and faculty of Alexander-Smith Academy, however, have chosen to increase their chances against the fight against the influenza virus by receiving this year’s flu vaccine. The shots were delivered and administered by healthcare professionals right on ASA’s campus.

Unfortunately, even the shots don't seem to be helping with the waves of illnesses that have been sweeping through ASA. Luckily, our student body hasn’t been exposed to anything too serious, just a few simple cold viruses. But this recent sick wave, plus the fact that it’s flu season, should serve as a reminder to everyone that staying healthy should be of utmost importance.
Be sure to remember the basics, such as washing your hands, sneezing or coughing into your elbow instead of your hands, etc. Staying healthy and avoiding sickness should be of great concern to everyone, especially at this time.
