Dashing players
After a strong season, the Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association (SBMSA) Dash team (pictured) won the 9/10 girls championship. The girls finished the regular season with only two losses and were victorious with a 4-1 win in the championship game. Coach Stephen Stelmak says the team worked hard, made mistakes, and learned from their mistakes. “During practice and games these girls’ default mode was hustle … turns out hustle wins championships,” he said. The proud winners are (back row, from left) Dani Dietrich, Lizzie Keeling, coach Stephen Stelmak, Callie Carlson, Zoe Zanovich, coach Larry St. Martin, Katherine St. Martin, Aly Allen, (front row, from left) Gigi Wong, Sonia Stelmak, Riley McKlosky, Reese Cole and Emma Todd.
