Game, set, match
Tara Ahmadi (pictured), 10, finished in first place at four recent tennis tournaments. The Frostwood Elementary fifth grader won her last two Open and ZAT tournaments. Tara began playing when she was 5 years old and began competing at age 8. Now she plays in two or three tournaments each month, and also in a team tennis league. To prepare for her packed competition schedule, Tara practices twice each week with King Daddy Sports and also takes weekly private lessons from her NCAA-ranked tennis coach, Javier Bacaicoa. Her love of tennis runs in the family, as her older brother, Shyon, is a member of the Memorial High School junior varsity tennis team. Tara is an avid Longhorns fan, and she hopes to eventually play for The University of Texas.
