In their wildest dreams
The Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association’s 8U girls Swiftie Queens soccer team (pictured) swept the SBMSA Cup tournament with three straight victories. The girls are second and third graders at Hunters Creek Elementary and named their team after everyone’s pop idol, Taylor Swift. In a tribute to Taylor, the Swiftie Queens played her music at their games and practices, and even donned bright red lipstick during the playoffs. Taylor, herself, was honored and sent the Swiftie Queens a personal email, saying, “Great job and I am SO proud of you all…I am sending you lots of my positive thoughts and energy, I am totally with you in my thoughts and spirit!!!!!! Thank you so much for being my friends/fans. Love, Taylor.” T-Swift fans for life are (top row, from left) coach Gene Peeples, coach Bobby Mulvey, (middle row, from left) Draden Moss, Adair Peeples, Kate Hudson, Ashley Varady, Ivy Oliver, Mabry Mulvey, Camille Canterbury, Grayson Weekley, Isabella Borrego, (bottom row, from left) Cara Ben-Yaacov, Madison D'Agostino and Isabella Murray.
