Happy Friday! There’s lots going on this weekend. Here are a few ideas of what to do:  

Sensory Friendly Day at the Children’s Museum of Houston

Today, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and sensory processing differences will have the opportunity to explore the museum in a comfortable environment. Galveston Food & Wine Festival

Downtown Galveston is home to the seventh annual Galveston Island Food & Wine Festival, which will feature wines from around the world, delicious local food, live entertainment and culinary events. See the details and see our guide to Galveston Island.   

Houston Home Show

The 35th Annual Home Show will take place this weekend at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Houston’s premiere chefs will be featured in cooking demonstrations and will provide samples. See more details. 

Japan Festival

This Saturday, Houston's 23rd Annual Japan Festival in Hermann Park will include traditional and modern pop Japanese culture, Taiko, Martial Arts, music, food, games, shopping, entertainment and more! See the details. 

Square with Art Blocks: The Big Bash

The Big Bash will kick off a year-long public art project, Art Blocks, where colorful art will infuse Main Street Square in Downtown Houston. This Saturday afternoon, look forward to fun festivities, including an art market, beer garden, live entertainment and more. See the details.
