Michael Eubanks, a fourth grader at Frostwood Elementary School, came first in the 10-year-old boys age group at this year’s Houston Texans Kids Triathlon at NRG Stadium.

Michael completed his first Houston Kids Triathlon when he was 6 years old, joining other students on the Frostwood team. To train for his first triathlon, he participated in a training clinic at the YMCA on Clay Road. Michael also enjoyed participating in the North Texas Kids Triathlon on the UT-Arlington Campus in September, and has done so for the past three years. He’s considering competing in the Tri Kids Aggieland this June.

Last year, Michael wrote a Buzz Kidz story, which appeared in the June issue of The Memorial Buzz, on what it’s like to compete in a triathlon.

Congratulations, Michael! Keep swimming, biking and running.
