Lola
My name is Lola. Sometimes my parents address me as Willa, a grandchild of theirs. I am a British Labrador Retriever. The basic difference between me and my across-the-pond brethren is that I am a little stockier, heavier of bone and shorter of leg, with a denser coat and a head that is often called “square.” I am supposed to act like an adult now that I am 3, so I try to not chew anything made of wood, or run up the stairs like a rocket. The handyman used to say I was his IRA. Now I eat my food more slowly because my parents put my food in my bowl and top it off with at least three toys. I love my mistress because she feeds me raw vegetables when she is preparing them. I love my master because he walks me so I can check out all the other neighborhood dogs.
