ASA’s College Fair recently occurred and it was exciting for all the students from freshmen to seniors as they had the opportunity to explore their future passion and potential in college. As Alejando Haro, sophomore, put it, “I thought it was a really good experience because there were a lot of colleges and information.”
Colleges from public to private were represented at the fair where they managed to appeal to the students by giving them details about their dream majors that made them more excited for their future and college. Freshman David Araujo noted, “It gives a little insight on what college is going to be like.”

Alex Ambler, a junior, talked to the representative of Texas A&M to gain a deeper insight into college life and to be aware of the tough challenges that she will face when she goes to college.
Principal Maggie De La Garza commented, “I was very impressed with the turnout we had. Even though we’re a small school, we had over 20 colleges in attendance. Even more impressive, however, was the feedback I received from the reps who commented on how nice our students are. That’s one of the best compliments a principal can receive.”

I was amazed by TSU in particular because they have an interesting law school called Thurgood Marshall School of Law that has garnered praise from around the states, as I dream of becoming a successful lawyer in the future. Also, they have offered me a scholarship because of my GPA and that made me really excited for my future as an aspiring lawyer. In addition, my friend and fellow senior Dak Davis, an aspiring pilot, was equally impressed by TSU because of its aviation programs, which made him equally as excited as I am for college next year and as well as for his future as a pilot.

Therefore, the College Fair gave all of us students a high-level of optimism that we desire on a daily basis to drive ourselves forward to a bright and a better tomorrow and future.
