Horn Elementary students Claire Canon, Ellen Moore and Madeline Sisk (pictured, from left) are all smiles after finishing a volleyball game with the YMCA Diamonds team. This was the first volleyball season for these girls and their entire team. Coaches Canon and Moore started with the basics and taught the Diamonds to serve, bump and move their feet to the ball. The girls practiced each week, and although they were all new to the sport, they managed to win a couple of games. It was a great first experience, and they all plan to return to the team next year. Their moms love volleyball, too, but for a slightly different reason – it’s never too hot, too cold or too wet.
