Legacy of literacy
The Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation’s Young Professionals Group hosted its second annual black-tie gala celebration at The Dunlavy. In the mix were YPG Executive Committee members Christopher Miorin and his wife Sarah (pictured). The Jungle Book-themed event was hosted by Lizzie Andrews, granddaughter of First Lady Barbara Bush. Approximately 200 guests enjoyed an evening featuring drinks, light bites, a silent auction and dancing, with live music by DJ J.J. Essen. Also in attendance were Neil and Maria Bush, Lucas Somoza, Andrews, Pierce Bush, Morgan L. Relyea, Austin Boatwright, Dr. Julie Baker and Ron Finck, Melissa Williams, Arabella and Jamie Hibbert, Alexa Bode, William Finnorn, Iman and James Farrior, Laura and Ben Messier, David and Frani Denenburg, Sarabeth Melton, Kristen Oesch Stubbs, Kevin O’Sullivan, Robert Derrick, Sheila Martinez, Emily Smith, Amanda Tenzer, J’aime Quick, Morgan Stauzenberger and Fernando Somoza.
