Ruby
Hola! I’m Ruby, a Havanese beauty. My ancestors were lap dogs for the wealthy and privileged in Havana, Cuba. During the Cuban Revolution, 11 Havanese fled to the U.S. with their owners, and the rest of us are here because of those brave dogs. I am named Ruby because I was supposed to be red when I grew up, but you can see that didn’t work out! I’m very friendly, and I like to go for walks and spend time with my friends Lovey and Victor. I don’t mind a bath, but I hate the hair dryer, so I howl my head off the whole time anybody uses one on me. My best trick is walking around on my hind legs. I’ve been known to walk from the front door to the kitchen like that. It gets me a lot of attention. I also dance for food. Shameless, I know.
