Helping the homeless
Trees of Hope hosted its holiday gala at The Citadel on Kirby for more than 350 patrons. Honorary chair Lynn Wyatt, along with gala co-chairs Donna Grehn and Sharon Schwartz, planned the evening in celebration of Trees of Hope’s 27th year. The non-profit helps improve the lives of children at Star of Hope, an agency for the homeless. The black-tie evening featured music by the David Caceres Band and an auction that broke an organizational record, raising nearly $100,000 in paddles-up donations alone. Over $600,000 was raised in total. Also in the crowd were Heather Holmes, Lisa Ammerman, Barbara Dinges, Erin Lenhart and Pam Doty.
