Highest Girl Scout honors
Margaret Coulter (pictured), along with Mia DeSanctis and Emma Mueller, earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor in Girl Scouting. Coulter is a senior at Memorial High School. To earn the award, Coulter hosted a cheer clinic at Brookwood Community, located in Brookshire. She also hosted a talent show for some of the residents that included an appearance by Memorial High School mascot Mustang Sally and members of the Memorial High School varsity cheer team. DeSanctis, a senior at St. Agnes Academy, earned the award for building a labyrinth – a single path used for personal and psychological transformation – at Canyon of the Eagles, a nature resort on Lake Buchanan in Austin. Mueller, a senior at Memorial High School, earned the award for hosting nine volleyball clinics for Chapelwood United Methodist Church’s after school program.
