April Fools’ wedding

Katie Moffitt, a Bellaire High School graduate, met Alexander Gonzalez, who was visiting Houston from New Orleans, in 2007 at a party at her parents’ home in Bellaire. They stayed friends and kept in touch over the years. In 2013, Katie moved to Costa Rica, and when she moved home, Alexander called out of the blue to reveal his feelings. A month later, Katie went to visit him in New Orleans. A little over a year later, they were engaged, and recently celebrated their engagement at a party with their family and friends at Katie’s parents’ home. They’re now looking forward to their wedding in New Orleans on April 1. The ceremony will be at the Cabildo Museum, and the reception will follow at the Marche overlooking the French Quarter and Mississippi River.
