Starstruck at Sky Zone

Meric Pinkerton (on left) couldn’t believe her eyes when she spotted John Travolta last weekend, and immediately said yes to a selfie with friend Susan Simon (on right).

On Saturday of Super Bowl LI weekend, Meric Pinkerton was at Sky Zone with her 7-year-old daughter Reagan. They were about to celebrate her friend’s birthday at the trampoline birthday venue. They were waiting in the lobby and all of a sudden, Meric spotted John Travolta with his 6-year-old son. She couldn’t believe her eyes.

At first, she resisted going up to him, not wanting to bother him. But eventually, she decided it was a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” so approached him and said, “Welcome to Houston!” She quoted a few of her favorite movies that he had starred in – Urban Cowboy being her all-time favorite movie.

John Travolta asked if she had any other suggestions as to other fun places around town he could take his little boy. At first, she was “so starstruck I went blank,” but a few moments later, she suggested taking him to the NFL Experience, the Houston Aquarium and a few other kid-friendly spots around Houston.

When John Travolta asked if she wanted to take a selfie, she immediately said yes.
