As the Emery Class of 2017 begins to close out their high school years, what better way to end the year than with prom.
This year’s prom was held at the Bell Tower on 34th in the Heights. Many EWS parents spend lots of time and effort planning out the night so that everyone had a fun night.
The prom festivities started out with pictures at Emma Danziger and Jake Plantowsky’s house. Everyone enjoyed taking the pictures, knowing that they would last a lifetime. From there, students drove to the Bell Tower on 34th Street to begin the dance.
Ayala Porat said, “I really had a fun time at prom! It was so cool to see everyone dressed up in their long dresses and tuxedos.”
Lexi Reichstein, Benjamin Cohen and Rachel Abreu enjoyed prom and being able to hang out with their friends.
Students enjoyed the food, music, dancing and photo booth that was included in the festivities of prom.
While some students brought out-of-school dates, many enjoyed spending the time with their friends, especially since all of the seniors are leaving for college soon. Also in attendance were many teacher chaperones who enjoyed seeing their students dressed up. Many students even took the opportunity to take some fun photos in the photo booth with their teachers.
With the Emery Class of 2017 less than two weeks away from their senior trip to Poland and Israel, there is lots of excitement within the senior lounge. Everyone can’t wait to spend the next month together overseas.
