Flowers filled the room
Over 250 guests, including Michele Sabino and Sue White (pictured, from left), gathered at The Houstonian Hotel in support of Houston Hospice and its Butterfly Program. The room was filled with floral arrangements provided The Garden Club of Houston, organized by White in memory of June Stobaugh. Chair Gaylon Cunningham was thrilled with the $200,000 raised. Melanie Lawson of Channel 13 emceed, and the featured speaker was Gail Caldwell, who is a New York Times best-selling author of Let’s Take the Long Way Home. Houston Hospice provides compassionate end-of-life care for its patients and their families. The Butterfly Program was developed in 1996 and provides pediatric hospice care.
