A perfect swing

West University Elementary first grader Neel Vyas (pictured) follows through on a shot in a recent tennis match. The 6 year old plays at several outdoor tennis courts as well as indoors at the Houston City Club. Neel began playing at age 3, and now enjoys both singles and doubles. After playing countless matches at youth camps, Neel recently played in his first tournament. He played well throughout the intermediate-level indoor singles match, and nearly beat a much older opponent. Neel is working on all aspects of his game, especially net play and serving. Backhand ground strokes are some of his favorites, and he is happiest on the court when he gets to hit an overhead smash.
