Four fourth-grade Duchesne girls wanted to make a difference. It was in December when McKenzie Leggett, Caroline Davis, Ava Powell and Evelyn Muskat took the Houston Racquet Club’s Freezin’ for a Reason challenge (sliding down the resort pool slide) as part of HRC's annual fundraising for MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital. A dad-run bake sale cooked up by John Leggett, who enlisted Greg Powell, helped the entrepreneurial girls man their booth in Briargrove. The gals contributed $1,000 to the Houston Racquet Club goal of $40,000.
