Houston Symphony performs Jurassic Park
Get ready for dinosaurs galore! Watch the science fiction classic while the Houston symphony performs the score live. The film will be projected in HD in Jones Hall. You will be transported into an island full of dinosaurs and adventure. The film starts at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
Cool Nights at the Houston Zoo
With the first weekend of the opening of Cool Nights in full swing, come on down to the Houston Zoo. With later hours, beat the heat and see the animals in cooler weather. Enjoy live music and fun family activities that the whole family will like. Cool Nights takes place every Friday evening, starting tonight through Aug. 11, 5-8 p.m. All activities are included with Zoo admission.
Galveston Cajun Festival
Bring the whole family to Galveston for the second annual Cajun Festival, happening all weekend long starting this evening, 5-10 p.m. There will live music and entertainment, a crawfish eating contest, a crawfish racing contest and fun family activities. Get ready for food, fun and lots of sun.
Downtown Summer Movie Series at Main Street Square
Bring your movie fanatic dad down to the Main Street Square to watch the classic movie E.T. the Extra- Terrestrial. Enjoy food trucks and drinks while you are watching on the jumbo LED screen, starting Saturday at 8 p.m.
Father’s Day Weekend at Bayou Bend
Bring Dad or Granddad to explore the Ima Hogg estate on Saturday and Sunday. Relax and unwind with complimentary refreshments at the Lora Jean Kilroy Visitor and Education Center. Fathers and grandfathers get in free and everyone else receives discounted admission.
