Happy Friday! Here are some fun events to look forward to this weekend:
Cool Nights at the Houston Zoo
Because daytime in Houston is so hot and humid, the Houston Zoo is staying open late on summer Fridays so that you can get a chance to enjoy the Zoo with a cool summer breeze. There will be music along with fun family activities! This event lasts from 5-8 p.m. and all activities are included in Zoo admission and are free for Zoo Members.
Art Stroll at Sawyer Yards
The artists at Sawyer Yards will be hosting a night of art and music Friday night from 5-9 p.m. Explore the buildings and meet the artists. There will also be refreshing cocktails to help you cool down in the summer heat!
Houston Shakespeare Festival
This Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at 8:15 p.m., Miller Outdoor Theater will host a Shakespeare Festival. Friday and Sunday, Shakespeare’s comedy Twelfth Night will be performed. Richard III will be performed Saturday night.
Museum Experience Zone 3
On Saturday, summer’s Museum Experience returns showcasing a trio of district museums all within walking distance. The Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston, The Jung Center and The Museum of Fine Arts are the featured museums of Zone 3. These museums offer guests to view masterworks, make personalized art, and interact with site-specific installations. This event goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free. There will also be additional activities such as arts and crafts, laughter yoga and food trucks around lunchtime.
I Love the 90s feat. TLC, Naughty by Nature and Mark McGrath
If you are a big ‘90s music fan, NRG Park will be hosting this ‘90s action-packed concert on Sunday.
VANS Warped Tour
Enjoy a variety of different bands at the 2017 Warped Tour. There will be seven different stages on Sunday starting at 11 a.m. at NRG Park.
