Sweltering July heat didn’t stop parade goers celebrating this year’s Fourth of July. They included Abbey Lord and Hannah Lord (pictured, from left). The pair cooled off with a snow cone at the 25th Annual Villages Independence Festival at Ecclesia (previously known as Memorial Drive Baptist Church) on July 4. The free event included a parade, games, rides, food, drinks and musical entertainment throughout the morning.
