Father-son trip

Marc Magids and his son Jeff Magids (pictured, from left), both self-proclaimed “die-hard baseball fans” took a father-son trip to Cooperstown, NY to see Jeff Bagwell’s induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. “My dad went with my grandfather when he was 16, so it’s obviously a special memory for him,” said Jeff. They were not able to attend Craig Biggio’s induction in 2015, but remained hopeful that Jeff Bagwell would too be inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame. They toured the museum and saw Lou Gehrig’s glove and Hank Aaron’s baseball bat. On Sunday, they spent time at The Clark Sports Center to watch Jeff Bagwell, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, Tim Raines, Jon Schuerholz and Bud Selig give their speeches in front of a packed crowd as well as current hall of famers on stage. “I hope that I will be fortunate enough to take my future son or daughter to Cooperstown the next time an Astro gets voted in. Come on Jose Altuve,” said Jeff.
