Brogue and mounds
The 17-day trip started in Dublin, Ireland. Linda and Paul Lynn drove along the southern and western coasts of Ireland with a special stop at Newgrange, where a large circular mound, a monument created 5,000-plus years ago, is illuminated by the sun in the entry for only a week, for 17 minutes a day, during the winter solstice. They weren’t there during the solstice, but they did get to visit Scotland and London. In London, they attended An American in Paris, where they felt overdressed as locals wore T-shirts and shorts and threw trash on the floor. Not quite the Hobby Center experience.
