Neighbors helping neighbors
The fourth-grade girls of Girl Scout Troop 146041 raised more than $1,200 for teacher supplies at Kolter Elementary School. Pictured from left are (in front) Arabella Vera, (second row) Lily Schmitt, Bailey Kauffman, Aqila Khansa, Reese Sicinski, (third row) Aylin Ozus, Haley Cook, Anna Schafer, Anna Senseman, Cathryn Vera, Edie Goody, (fourth row) troop leader Michelle Fassell and Camilla Flannigan. Also there were Elise Friou and Adaline Thompson. The girls donated baked goods and lemonade and raised money at stands around southwest Houston. Fassell contacted some teachers at Kolter ES (who recently had to move to a new campus due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey), and they asked for large rolls of colored butcher paper so they could decorate the bulletin boards of their new campus.
