A funny story

Pierce Bush, grandson of President George H.W. Bush and CEO of Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Lone Star, and Alex Bailey, director of the non-profit Great Houston chapter’s community engagement, spoke to the River Oaks Women’s Breakfast Club. Pierce told the group that he met a girl in college who was a mentor with this organization. He thought to himself, “Great way to meet girls.” He became a mentor in 2009, and it changed his life, eventually leading to him leaving a private equity career. Did he get the girl? Get involved to find out. The growing Houston chapter mentors 900 students. In the crowd were Jane Seger, Rita Singh, Joanne Hendrick and Maggie Hunt.
