Nadia, Shiv, and Dalia Khera

Siblings Nadia, Shiv and Dalia Khera (pictured, from left) were big winners at the Bay Area Racquet Club Junior Open. Nadia and Dalia, St. John’s School sixth and seventh graders, played as partners and won first place in the 14-and-under doubles division. Nadia and Dalia also finished in first and second place in the 12-and-under singles division. Younger brother and West University Elementary fourth grader Shiv won third place in the 12-and-under division. All three players train at Chancellors Tennis Academy, where they practice 8-12 hours each week. Nadia is classified as a super champ, the highest level of junior competition in the state; both Dalia and Shiv compete at the champ level, which is the second highest level of competition. The Khera siblings began playing tennis at age 6 and have aspirations of playing in college, the Olympics or the professional level.
