Event Roundup: What to Look Forward to This Weekend

Happy Friday! See our roundup of fun events happening this weekend:

Houston Auto Show 

The largest auto show in the south continues at NRG Center through this weekend. See, hear, touch and even drive the most exciting cars and trucks from more than 30 of the world’s top automakers. Car enthusiasts, you won’t want to miss this show.

Beauty and the Beast Movie Night at Levy Park

Watch Beauty and the Beast (the 2017 movie) at Levy Park, sponsored by Texas Children’s Hospital in conjunction with the Levy Park Conservancy, on Friday night, 6:30 p.m. 

Art in the Park 

Families are invited to Evelyn’s Park on Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., to create Valentine’s Day butterflies together.

Monster Jam 

Head to NRG Stadium on Saturday for an action-packed show watching world-class drivers compete and entertain. There’ll be a pre-show Pit Party starting at 2:30 p.m. (separate admission ticket).

Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k 

Sign up for the Hot Chocolate 5K/1K for a sweet day of fun. There’ll be marshmallow sweet stations along course routs and a Finisher Mug to enjoy fondue. The event takes place in Hermann Square on Sunday, 7:15 a.m.

Saint Arnold One Pot Showdown 

The 11th Annual One Pot Showdown will take place at Saint Arnold on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. Eighty cooking teams will be ready to serve you their tastiest dish made with Saint Arnold beer. A group of judges will sample all the dishes and award one team the coveted One Pot Trophy. Proceeds go to Kid’s Meals.
