Recently, over 150,000 middle school students in fifth through eighth grades, from 2,518 schools across the country, participated in the AMC 8 Math Challenge. Trafton Academy had 104 students participate in the challenge. Fifth grader Kevin Chen (pictured, at right) earned a national honor roll certificate for scoring in the top 5 percent nationally of all test takers. Kevin, and his sixth-grade sister, Eileen (pictured, left), both earned certificates of achievement for their scores.
