Sky’s the limit
Sky High Foundation, a non-profit that hosts fundraising events for children fighting pediatric cancer and other serious conditions, hosted its first holiday carnival at Texas Children's Hospital. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus were on hand to greet the children, along with Santa's elves bearing gifts for all the girls and boys. Pictured (from left) are Kristina Gutierrez (dressed as a soldier), Donae Chramosta, a Texas Children’s patient, and Shauntae Pierce. Sky High also brought a gift for the hospital – $725,000. The hospital will name a wing the Sky High for Kids Tumor Biology Center. Founder Brittany Hebert and her team's total donations for 2017 reached $2.5 million. They are planning more events in 2018.
