The annual Neighborhood Party was started four years ago with an email by Marilyn Saks and Marcia Alexander to their close-by friends. The progressive dinner for 20 began at Nano Cox’s for wine and appetizers, which included Steve Saks’ renowned duck, and then a short walk to Marcia and Joe Alexander’s for dinner, also provided by Margie and Scott Schneider. Mindy and Joel Loshak’s house provided tasty desserts (also by Marilyn). These neighbors on the U-street Westgate and Newman didn’t have to worry about the food. If they didn’t favor it, they are near many restaurants they can walk to. In this case, no one left early.
