Pershing alumni wed
Josh and Dever Hanchera met at Pershing Middle School, where they took drama and Spanish together in seventh grade. They were also involved with the West University Methodist youth group and went on a mission trip to Costa Rica together. Dever grew up in Bellaire with parents Jack and Claire Lorenz and her three younger siblings, Lee, Libby and Jack Jr. Josh grew up in West University with parents Dan and Mary Hanchera and his three younger siblings, Gabby, Rachel and Michael. All eight Lorenz and Hanchera children attended Pershing, where Dever's mom is a teacher. Dever went to Bellaire High School, and Josh attended Lamar High School, and both went to Texas A&M. The couple married at West University Methodist Church with their former youth leader, Josh Arrington, assisting in the ceremony. After a reception full of Pershing Pandas, Aggies and family, they honeymooned in Ambergris Caye, Belize.
