Guests gathered for CanCare’s 24th Annual National Cancer Survivors Day luncheon at the Westin Houston, Memorial City hotel. Each year, the non-profit hosts the luncheon to celebrate cancer survivorship and raise money to train volunteers. It costs approximately $100 to train one support volunteer who could potentially serve four newly diagnosed cancer patients. This year’s luncheon proceeds exceeded the goal, raising over $245,000.
