Happy Friday and Labor Day Weekend! Here are some fun events going on this holiday weekend:

CityCentre's Summer's Last Blast Concert & Fireworks Celebration

Labor Day Weekend kicks off with a bang at CITYCENTRE on Friday evening with live music and fireworks.

Family Movie Night at Levy Park

On Friday night, bring a blanket and enjoy The Jungle Book (the 2016 version) outdoors at Levy Park. Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite jungle animal while watching the popular movie.

Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival

Cheers to the weekend! Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival, the largest craft beer festival, will take place this Friday-Sunday at Moody Gardens. It kicks off with Nach-Yo Ordinary Tequila Tasting, which pairs tequilas with a nacho bar. Throughout the festival, there will be more then 400 craft beers, live music and more.

PloggingTime

Join the “plogging” movement (picking up litter while jogging) this Labor Day weekend. Grab a bag or two, head outside and pick up trash while getting some exercise. Take photos of your efforts and use #Plogging and #PloggingHouston. The time and location are up to you!

Football

Football season is underway. This Friday, rivals St. Thomas and Strake face off against each other at NRG. The Bayou Bucket Classic - Rice vs. UH - takes place at Rice Stadium on Saturday. Also on Saturday, the 2018 AdvoCare Texas Kickoff - Texas Tech vs. Ole Miss - takes place at NRG. Mark your calendars - see a list of upcoming football rivalry games too.

Sundays in the Park

Discovery Green is offering Sundays in the Park, including live music and activities for families, on Sunday afternoons. Bring a picnic and blanket and your family for a nice afternoon outdoors.
