Barefoot and champagne weekend

Natalie Maisel and Joseph Machado celebrated their first anniversary in Galveston, where they married a year ago on the beach. The wedding, planned in only three months, occurred (luckily) just before Hurricane Harvey. They house hopped on the anny weekend from Taavi Mark and Stephen Lejeune’s beach house to Jhonny Langer’s home. The men partiers, including Jimmy Phillips, were her former “bridesmaids.” Not in town but a Facetime away were also “former bridesmaids” Richard Laub and Andrew Dawson from New York. The friends relaxed on a harbor cruise, explored the tall ship Elissa, and got a personal guided tour of Bishop's Palace, where Jhonny continues to do restoration work. A present for Joe was a canvas portrait photo of Natalie in a rhinestone-studded leather-jacket outfit that she won as the highest bidder at a fundraiser. Cheers!
